Slowly withering
The air misses him.He coughs, over and over, until he fears he'll tear his throat out. Then the taste of blood spreads on his tongue. His head is spinning, and his lungs feel like they've been set on fire. Sirius feels the lack of oxygen taking hold of him, and his mind is panicking because he can't breathe; he's going to die like an idiot in the middle of a corridor. He doesn't want to die here, it's so dumb-In a final fit of coughing, he finally spits out the reason for his asphyxiation. He freezes. A beautiful petal of deep purple rests on the stone of the castle. A single petal, yet cold sweat runs down his back. Because it's tinted in a darker shade of red, and this red isn't the colour of the flower. Oh, Merlin. Is somebody there? He thinks he is going to faint, he can feel himself faint. It's his blood. Damn, it's his blood. He's soooo fucked.•°•°•Sirius had a simple plan: keep a low profile until summer, bury his heartache, and go with the flow. But somewhere along the line, things went sideways -now he's coughing up flowers? (Hanahaki sucks). This all unfolds after the prank, and Sirius finds himself unwittingly part of a grand chess game, manipulated from the shadows. War looms on the horizon, and the stakes couldn't be higher.

The Mysteries of Mackinac Island
Aurora has been going through a rough patch, needing to get away from the world she finds a small island in Lake Huron. The island had no cars, a college that was supposed to be closed down in 1970, and the weird sense that the town has stayed the same for years. After meeting Jay Jay, the son of her hosts at the Bed and Breakfast she is staying at, Aurora is swept into his college group of friends Lillian, Evangeline, and Waylon. They all have their own quirks and kinks but they make Aurora feel more welcome than she has in a while. But something is waying on Aurora's mind. The odd language her friends use and weird work calls they get from time to time make her question what secrets they are hiding from her. Xander, a well-known doctor, finds interest in the new young tourist. Of course, there are many new people coming and going on the little island, but Xander doesn't want this one to leave. Will he let his passion out way his only rule? With the frozen-in-time town attracting so many tourists there had to be some filthy secrets behind the seemingly friendly town folk. Aurora, innocent and seeing everything through a whimsical glass, didn't know the dangers that lurked around every corner. She just had to end up on the wrong side of town when looking for answers. Finding herself in between one doctor and a townie in an argument about how many people he was dragging to the afterlife. How will Aurora cope with the knowledge that her bedtime nightmares as a child were real-life fantasies? Or will Aurora ever be able to return home once her time is up?
